The Padded Computer Bag is our highest-capacity business briefcase–a heavy-duty bag that can pull double-duty as an overnight or tool bag. Introduced in 2000, as laptops were becoming commonplace, it has earned an enviable reputation for durability and utility, and still sets the standard for toughness with maximum load-carrying ability.


It’s built with industrial-strength Rugged Twill, our signature material from British Millerain that’s proven its mettle for over thirty years carrying our customer’s heaviest loads. This 2-ply by 3-ply cotton twill is lightly-waxed to create a barrier against rain, snow and mud, keeping your gear dry no matter the storm. The exceptionally-tight weave helps our Rugged Twill withstand the abrasion of sliding around in truck beds and on conveyor belts or concrete floors. The leather handles and straps are cut, burnished and edge-dyed in our Seattle factory from Bridle Leather hides vegetable-tanned by Pennsylvania’s Wickett & Craig, the iconic tannery since 1867. Each hide is slowly steeped in a special bark-tannin solution, with tallows and waxes “hot-stuffed” into it during the final stages. This eco-friendly tanning process slowly transforms cowhide into saddle-grade, pliable leather that’s equally suited for horse tack and Filson luggage. The heavy-gauge brass zipper is rustproof, virtually indestructible, and reinforced with dual strips of 12-oz. Bridle Leather. All of this is stitched together with heavy-duty, cotton-wrapped polyester thread, to ensure a briefcase that will provide decades of reliable service.


Fully-padded with quarter-inch foam, our largest briefcase can easily carry a 15” laptop, plus chargers, tools, or even a clean shirt and shaving kit. Some of our customers working in the electronics field report using it to carry the tools of their trade, including laptops, multimeters, screwdrivers and other small tools. With three interior dividers, plus front, back and side stow pockets, keeping it all organized is an easy matter. The full-width exterior zippered pocket contains expandable-stow pockets for even more organization. To ensure this heavy-hauler is up to the task, the bottom is double-layer reinforced and the removable, adjustable Bridle Leather shoulder strap attaches to a D-ring secured with two layers of Bridle Leather that are stitched and riveted for strength. To add even more protection for your valuable contents, the zipper is covered with a snap-secure storm flap to prevent water entry. The handles feature a Bridle Leather snap-secure carry grip that molds to the shape of your hand over time, for a truly custom fit. The solid brass hardware is sand-cast and debossed exclusively for Filson–a fine example of what we mean when we say “Might as Well Have the Best.”

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with original tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Signet is not responsible for shipping fees on items that were purchased in our online store that is being exchanged for another size or for store credit. Any shipping charges incurred due to exchanges or returns for store credit are the responsibility of the customer.

For international orders, the customer will be the one to shoulder duties and taxes as well, if there are any once it enters PH. We will also require you to ship the item via DHL, FedEx, or UPS only.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

When the defects of the goods are due to the mishandling of the buyer
